About Me and This Site
Life is full of surprises and unexpected events, especially when you have children. I am the mother of two; a 19-year old daughter and a 21-year old son. Both of whom I adore.
A few years ago, we were the victims of a Home Invasion that went on for several months. That experience put us on an Unsolicited Journey setting in motion a series of events and challenges that continue to have rippling effects to this day. Our lives were changed forever. You can’t let an event in your life define who you are. It’s not what happens to you but what you do; how you respond, when something happens that becomes part of your character. While this unfortunate event doesn’t define who we are as individuals and a family and while this blog is not solely devoted to writing about that event, it was a motivating factor.
Taking The World On With A Smile! attempts to put the joys and the challenges of this author’s every day life into perspective. It’s about Letting Go and living life. It’s about now and then. Current happenings, memories and people that have or have had an impact on my life.
It’s about this mom striving to live Life on Life’s Term — Not Mine trying to find the best approach for the issue at hand, dealing with those unexpected happenings as they occur and the interactions and impact of family, friends and everyone else we come into contact with.
Living life on life’s terms is not always easy.
It’s how you approach it that really matters and what you learn from it along the way that counts.
Be it at home or at work, in the company of family or friends, this mom strives to live life on life’s terms with grace and equanimity.
you’re always taking the world on with a smile!!!!!!!!!!
